I love hosting little get-togethers at home, there is always a good reason for good food, good friends and good laughs shared, so when I saw the march college basketball season was approaching I knew I had to invite some friends over to watch the games. And let’s be honest there’s no better game day appetizer than easy spicy sausage balls!
This easy spicy sausage balls recipe only asks for 4 ingredients (sausage, cheese, flour and spices) and it’s so delicious everyone will get up to grab some more. They are super quick to make too, actually, they take 30 minutes from start to finish, but they are also freezer friendly so you could make them ahead and pop them in the freezer to use whenever you need them. I always try to be prepared and have everything at hand before the game viewing parties so I try to make them a couple of days in advance and just pop them in the oven 20 minutes before the guests arrive.
Seriously, there’s nothing better than knowing you have everything on hand and that you are ready for anything that may come your way, so I not only stock up on easy spicy sausage balls but I also keep at hand Advil just in case, I want to make sure I’m able to enjoy each moment to the fullest without being hindered by pain or headaches (that are not only horrible but always seem to attack when you least expect them) Nothing’s stronger, longer lasting or better on your tough aches and pains than Advil*
You can find Advil (as well as Nexium 24HR) at Walmart, making it even easier for you to get them on that last minute grocery store trip to get your easy spicy sausage balls ingredients. Oh and there’s a coupon for them too, one for Advil here and one for Nexium 24HR here
Easy Spicy Sausage Balls
To make them just place 1 pound bulk sausage in a bowl, add spices (I picked paprika, pepper and garlic powder), 2 cups flour and 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese.
Then with your hands mix everything together and form small balls.
Here you can either freeze them or bake them. If you decide to freeze them place them on a baking tray and pop in the freezer for 20 minutes. Then take them out and place them into an airtight container or freezer bag.
To bake them just place them in a baking pan and take to the oven (350 degrees) and bake for around 20 minutes.
You can either serve them as is (a crowd favorite!) or with some cheese or ranch dip (a hubby favorite)
